Divisonals - Ten Things to Know
If you have a swimmer going to Divisionals please read this important message. We will be sending a separate email to our volunteers with additional details very soon. We do need one more second shift timer. If you have a swimmer in the second half of the meet please consider signing up to time.
10- Divisionals is at Greenbriar on Saturday morning (13001 Point Pleasant Drive Fairfax, Va 22033). It will take a solid 30 minutes or longer to get there so plan accordingly.
9- The parking lot will be for cars with parking passes only. There is plenty of parking in the area - on the side streets in the neighborhood or at the elementary school across the street. There will also be a swimmer drop off area on the Middle Ridge Road side of the pool.
8 – Truro swimmers participating in IM should be on deck by 7:50. Warm up is at 8:05. There will be 4 additional 10 minute warm ups before each stroke throughout the day.
7- The order of events on Saturday is: IM, Free, Back, BREAK/AWARDS, Breast, Fly
6- The No EARLIER THAN start times for the day are as follows. Arrival NO LATER THAN times are in bold.

*Important: No earlier than means IF everything goes perfectly and there are little or no DQs this will be the timeline. Typically, we see the timelines shift a little throughout the day.
5- Bring your usual- goggles, swim caps, towels, and suits (your regular season suit is perfect, however, if older swimmers choose to wear tech suits, they may wear a FINA-approved tech suit). No tech suits may be worn by any 12 & under athlete.
4- The line for tshirts at Divisionals is infamously long! You can save time by placing your preorder here.
3- Once the results of each race have been verified, they will be posted on the brick wall outside the bathrooms, so if you are looking for your swimmer’s final time and placement, you can find it there.
2- If your swimmer gets sick or hurt and is no longer to participate in Divisionals, please let us know immediately – even if it is SUPER EARLY Saturday morning.
1 –Please help your swimmer hydrate, eat well, rest and stay out of the hot sun when possible leading up to Saturday - a healthy mind and body matters every day, but especially on a race day. We’ll see you on the pool deck.
