Congrats Swordfish!
Dear Swordfish Families,
We made it to the end of the season—and what a season it’s been!
It’s hard to believe we only kicked things off on May 27th, just seven weeks ago. Summer swim truly feels like a mix of a marathon and a sprint, and together we packed in:
- 5 A meets
- 3 B meets
- An (attempted!) IM Carnival
- Divisional Relays
- All-Star Relay
- IM carnival
- Divisionals
- …and next up: Individual All-Stars! Lets go Rem, Anna and Ainslee!
On top of that, we had daily practices, pep rallies, fun socials, and a ton of team spirit. We want to congratulate all of you on a fantastic 2025 season. This was a tough division, but our swimmers rose to the challenge—improving times, cheering each other on, and showing what being a Swordfish is all about.
Now it’s time to enjoy a well-earned break—turn off those alarms, do a little less laundry, and visit the pool just for fun. We hope the rest of your summer is filled with sunshine and relaxation, and we can’t wait to see many of you back on the pool deck next year!
Swimmers – We were so disappointed that storms kept us from our late-night swim! We’re working on finding a new date to reschedule—stay tuned.
Parents – We’re excited to continue a tradition started last year: the Volunteer Thank You Reception. An invitation will be coming your way soon for an evening in August—we look forward to celebrating with you!
Last but not least we want to thank all of our sponsors for the 2025 season!
Platinum sponsors: JL Tree, RS Tree and MowCow
Gold Sponsors: Capital Care Care, Pond Roofing, Team Debbie Dogrul and Associates, Aesthetic Dermatology and Mohs Surgery and Virginia Orthodontics.
Silver sponsors: Christiane DeJong Architects and FJ Hooks Plumbing.
With gratitude,
Your Swordfish Team Reps
Sarah and Jen
