Rain, Rain Go Away!
Hello Swordfish Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! We are excited to officially kick off the 2026 Swordfish Swim and Dive season and are looking forward to seeing our athletes back on deck soon. Now we just need the sunshine and warmer temperatures to join us!
After reviewing several weather forecasts and considering a variety of factors, the Swim and Dive Reps have decided to cancel practice for today due to the combination of cool air temperatures and water temperatures with the possibility of thunderstorms this afternoon. Early in the season, athlete safety and comfort are especially important, particularly for our younger and new swimmers and divers, and we want to make sure we are starting the season in safe and welcoming conditions for everyone.
We know everyone is eager to get back in the pool, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate unpredictable spring weather. At this time, we are planning to resume our normal practice schedule tomorrow, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back to the pool for the start of another great Swordfish season.
Thank you again for your flexibility and support. We are looking forward to a fun summer together!
Go Swordfish!
Thanks,
Sarah Girard, Jen Long and Jennie Eng
