Join us in our 3rd annual Truro Swordfish Community Service Project. Swimmer and Divers are invited to work together to support the Annandale Community. Swimmers and Divers are asked to come ready to help on one of the projects below and bring a donation of $1 to contribute to the cost of supplies. Everything will be donated to ACCA and students in FCPS Title 1 schools.

ACCA is a voluntary organization providing assistance to low-income families in the Annandale/Bailey’s Crossroads area. All items go directly to families in need. Coordinators: Julie Ballog, Melissa Worthington, and Meredith Hedrick
Donate Swordfish can help collect and organize the donations. Accepting donations for food and the following items in good condition.

• Toothpaste
• Toothbrushes
• Men’s and woman’s deodorant
• Bar soap
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Tampons and pads
• Hand sanitizer
• Hand soap
• Canned soup
• Bags of rice
• Dry beans
• Toys
• Clothing for women, men and children

Knot Tie a Blanket We will donate four knotted fleece blankets to ACCA but need help making the blankets. A good opportunity to work and chat with friends!
Make a Friendship Bracelet Swimmers and Divers can learn how to make a friendship bracelet which will be given to children in the Annandale/Bailey’s Crossroads area with an inspirational message. Make one to donate and start one to take home!
Write Sight Word Cards for Literacy Students Looking for people with nice handwriting! You will make packs of sight word note cards for students learning to read. The cards should be decorated and bright. Feel free to bring stickers, we will provide the note cards and markers.
